 The PRIMARY PURPOSE of the City of El Segundo’s Downtown Specific Plan Update project is to:

• Establish a vision for the future of Downtown
• Develop planning tools to achieve the community vision and objectives for the future of Downtown
• Consider and confirm the right balance of commercial and residential uses within Downtown
• Enhance the appearance, wayfinding, and pedestrian experience within Downtown
• Increase the economic vitality of Downtown to reach its optimal potential to serve residents and visitors more effectively
• Provide beautification, mobility, and streetscape enhancements to increase connections from the Downtown to surrounding neighborhoods
